Visitors to the Falconer Museum in Forres will be able to do some Christmas shopping as the museum hosts its first maker's market on Saturday, November 24.
It will feature a selection of unique handmade goods from local crafts people, with stalls selling jewellery, willow baskets, hand-dyed hats and scarves, soaps, vintage style candles, fashion accessories, clocks, prints, cards and wooden homeware.The market will run from 10am to 2pm and the museum will stay open until 5pm.
Sheriff's talk
Elgin library will host a talk on the history of the sheriffdom of Moray by Sheriff Noel McPartlin on Thursday, November 15 at 7pm.
Sheriff McPartlin is a former resident sheriff at Elgin and his talk will cover the period from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Admission is free.
